GRAE graduation set for 11/8

Grant Regional Adult Education will be hosting their annual Graduation Ceremony this week.

This special event is set for 6:30 p.m. Friday, Nov. 8 at REAL Community Covenant Church, located in the same building as our Grant Regional Adult Education classes at 1240 S. Adams St., Marion.

High school equivalency diploma and paraprofessional certification graduates will be honored for their achievements at this ceremony, followed by a reception with friends and family immediately following.

The event will feature several speakers: Marion Mayor Ronald Morrell will be our keynote speaker. Indiana House District 31 Rep. Lori Goss-Reaves will also share words of congratulations with our graduates. And GRAE graduate David Teegarden will be sharing his story of success with his fellow graduates and their guests as well.

All friends and family of our graduates are welcome to attend.

 

How can Grant Regional Adult Education help you?

Grant Regional Adult Education offers free classes to Grant County and the surrounding communities. GRAE serves serve adults (and youth ages 16 and older) as they prepare for the high school equivalency diploma (HSED) test. The school also offers a paraprofessional certification training, ASVAB prep classes, and English language learners classes.

GRAE is located at 1240 S. Adams St., Marion. Open hours are 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday through Thursday, excluding holidays.

Grant Regional Adult Education – A Program of Excellence

Grant Regional Adult Education has been identified by the state as one of the best programs in the state two years in a row (Program Year 2022 & Program Year 2023).

The Indiana Department of Workforce Development has named the Grant County program an Adult Education Program of Excellence. This award designation was created by DWD to recognize adult education programs that exceed state goals and expectations in multiple areas of performance and serve as a model provider of adult education services in Indiana. Grant Regional Adult Education’s programs are facilitated by Marion Community Schools through Grant Regional Career Center.
