CNA program helps meet employer needs and employee goals

Congratulations to our CNA students who have completed their coursework and now ready for their hands-on training!

GRAE's CNA (certified nurse aid) program is in partnership with TLC Management's Rise Up Healthcare Academy.

Now that the students enrolled in our current cohort have completed their work in the classroom, they are ready to spend the next month completing their 80 practical hours at a TLC Management senior living facility in the area.

A CNA is an individual who works primarily in long-term care facilities or nursing homes. The CNA assists residents with activities of daily living, such as bathing, dressing, or eating. A CNA works under the direct supervision of licensed practical nurse or registered nurse. CNA certification can also be a stepping stone toward a wide variety of medical and medical assistant careers.

Through the GRAE / Rise Up program, adult learners are able to access classes, exams, and practical hands-on training all for free! This is the second cohort for this partner program, which helps local adults work toward new employment opportunities, and helps fill a need for trained healthcare professionals in our community.
