When Grant Regional Career Center partnered with Jumpstart Childcare Center to offer Child Development Associate (CDA) training, Director Jamie Brookshire and Manager Missy Hensley didn't just support the program — they embraced it wholeheartedly.
Understanding that some staff members were nervous about returning to school, they created a culture of encouragement. They opened their space for classes, provided meals, helped with assignments, and consistently reminded their team they could succeed.
Their dedication helped all six participants complete the program and earn their CDA certification.
Because of their extraordinary commitment to their employees and workforce development, Jumpstart Childcare Center has been recognized by the Indiana Association for Adult and Continuing Education (IAACE) as the Outstanding Business Partner for Region 3.
